The musical history of me

I used to be a guitar player, composer and teacher. This page will list some of my musical activities in the past in no particular order.

Please note that for the sheet music, I use the ancient Swedish way of spelling the note B as H and for single staff notation I write the chords under the melody (this is how we used to write sheet music before "the Real Book" came along and "Americanized" us). I also sometimes write - and + signs instead of b and # (+5 instead of #5 even though often b13 would be the most correct notation).

Good Vibes

Between 1989 and 1993 I lead a quartet that included guitar, vibes, bass and drums. I composed the material and below are some recordings we made.
The guitar used is custom built by a guy from my home town: Johan Gustavsson Guitars
The amplifier was something (two Boogie amps?) that was available in the studio. I always liked the challenge of using whatever was available, on the road or in the studio, to prove to myself that the instruments used wasn't that important (I'm not sure about that any longer).

Fair Play

In the late 80's I was a member of an electric fusion group called Fair Play. It was a quartet where I played guitar and guitar synthesizer. The other members played soprano sax/wind synthesizer, electric bass and drums. I composed a lot of the material and below are a couple of my songs.

Guest Stars - a cover band

We used to have great cover band in the late eighties, playing the tunes we thought were fun and swinging. The band played several hundreds gigs but were recorded only once. Below are some tunes from that live recording made around 1987 (for you guitar gear freaks, I used a Squire Stratocaster and a Fender Vibrolux through a RAT distortion pedal - a delay unit(?) and a Microverb - at least that is what I most often used at that time).
