Amazing Slow Downer for iPhone / iPod touch

How to upload files from your computer to the iPhone

First you need to make sure you have a working Wi-Fi connection on your iPhone. You should see a little icon at the left top of your iPhone looking like a wave emanating from an antenna.

If not, use the "Settings" application on your iPhone, select the "Wi-Fi" item row and select your Wi-Fi connection.

Now start Amazing Slow Downer on your iPhone, make sure you are in file selection mode and touch the middle button at the bottom of the screen named "Wi-Fi Import".

This will open a new screen. This screen needs to be open when you import songs. Important, don't close this screen until you have imported all the songs you need.
At the bottom of this screen you will see something like:
http://192.168.1.6:8888
This is the URL address that should be typed into your browsers address field.

Now start a web browser (Safari, Internet Explorer etc) on the computer you want to import music from. Enter the URL you see on the "Import" screen, for example: http://192.168.1.6:8888
Please note that your URL will be different and that's very important that you type it exactly as on the "Import" screen. You should now see a web page on your browser that shows you the content of the file area of the Amazing Slow Downer on your Iphone.

Click the "Choose file" button and navigate to some file of your choice. Select the file, click "OK" which will take you back to the web page above. You should see the file name of the selected file to the right of the "Choose file" button. Now click the "Upload/Submit" button which will start transferring of the file from your computer to the iPhone. Once finished the web page will update itself and you will see the new file just above. You can monitor the upload progress on the "Import" screen on the iPhone - you didn't close that, right?

You may also create new folders so you can organize your files better. To create a new folder, type a name for the folder in the text area to the right of the "Folder name:" text and click the "Create" button. The web page will update itself and you will see the new folder name just above. To navigate to this folder, click on the folder name. Files will now be uploaded into this folder.

You may upload any kind of files but not all file types can playback on the iPhone:
Amazing Slow Downer for iPhone can playback all standards iTunes formats except DRM protected files form the iTunes store (m4p and audio book files).
Amazing Slow Downer for iPhone can NOT playback non standard iTunes formats as Windows Media Audio files, Ogg, FLAC etc.

Trouble shooting:

Please note that both the computer running the web browser and your iPhone / iPod touch need to be connected to the same network.
In the screen shot of the "Import screen" above, the URL we want to connect to is http://192.168.1.6:8888. The 8888 identifies the "Amazing Slow Downer" application running on device 6 on network 192.168.1
